Recover lost/deleted contacts from Outlook
Outlook provides an option for its users, to add any number of addresses to their Outlook Contacts by selecting the particular address from any of the emails present on Outlook, and subsequently adding them by using the Add to Outlook contacts option. There are instances when the message header is hidden, and in these cases you need to display the header in an opened message, and select the header information from the View pane.
Sometimes it so happens that despite having contacts in the contacts folder of your Outlook, you are unable to access it when you click the To button. If this is the case, you can start by checking the Outlook settings, to make sure that the error is not due to a problem with the settings. The first thing you need to check is whether the contacts folder has been enabled as an email address book. You can do this by right clicking the contacts folder, choosing the properties and then selecting the Address book. If the box to enable Address book is checked, then you need to check the box to enable it.
If you are using an older version of Outlook you need to go to Tools, then select the Email Accounts option and then choose the View option. If the Outlook Address Book is not listed, add it, close Outlook and restart it, to complete the process. If it is listed, remove it and restart Outlook. If you are making use of Outlook 2007 it is not possible to remove the Address Book. You will have to remove the account from your Profile and then re-create it to access your contacts.
Though these methods are helpful under instances of minor corruption of the pst file, it is important to make use of a pst recovery software to recover all your lost/deleted contacts. Recover Outlook pst software lets you recover not just lost and deleted emails but also other Outlook data.
You can follow the steps given below to repair the corrupted pst file, and recover lost contacts
Step 1: Run Recover Outlook pst software, by double clicking the desktop shortcut, or by selecting the icon from the Programs list in the Start Menu. The Main window displays three options namely, "Open PST File", "Find PST File" and "Select Outlook Profile" as shown in Figure 1.
