Repair Outlook 2000 pst file
There is no doubt in the fact, that Outlook is the most widely used email client across the world. But this does not mean that it is completely error free and has no limitations. There is a small limitation with the Outlook 2000 version. The limitation is with the size of the pst file. Outlook 2002 and its earlier versions have pst files in the ANSI format. In ANSI format, the size of the pst file is limited to 2GB. Hence in Outlook 2000 too, the pst file size cannot exceed the 2GB limit.
If you are using Outlook and the amount of data transfer that takes place on an average on your Outlook is pretty high, the chances of your pst file size reaching the 2GB limit are more. In the initial stages this results in slowing down of Outlook and reducing the performance to a great extent. If we continue to use the pst file even after the 2GB file size limit has been reached, might result in corruption of the pst file, which might render the data available on the pst file inaccessible.
The in-built inbox repair tool from Outlook called Scanpst.exe can prove to be useful only under some circumstances. This is because, Scanpst truncates the oversized pst file and this might result in important data getting deleted from the pst file. To avoid this, it is best to make use of a powerful pst recovery software, so that you would not have to compromise with your important Outlook data. Recover Outlook pst software repairs pst files that are corrupted due to oversize with ease. This software is also capable of recovering lost and deleted emails from Outlook.
